Using Trade Data to Strengthen the Design of Supply Chain Governance
Katalyst uses trade data to explore how the effectiveness of new forms of supply chain governance – like mandatory due diligence laws, transnational collective bargaining agreements or enforceable brand agreements – may be influenced by trade flows, now and in the future.
Based on an analysis of the global trade in garments, we identify several policy options for strengthening the design of governance efforts so they can compensate for trade flow effects. We also explore ways that trade-based governance and supply chain governance efforts can be better coordinated.

‘Group of 30’ Major Garment Exporting Countries – National Trade Infographics
In this companion to ‘Trade Realities’, we present country-by-country garment export trade data for the 30 major non-EU garment-exporting economies.
We invite trade unions, NGOs, researchers, students and other civil society actors to use the graphics from the Trade Realities report in their own presentations and reports. The graphics from the main report and the annex are provided here as .png graphic files, available for non-commercial use under a Creative Commons license.
